Rahul Shah is a composer for Film, Television and Multimedia based in Los Angeles. Rahul has written music for projects distributed on Netflix, Amazon, PBS, BBC, ITV, Discovery and worked on advertisements. His credits include Emmy-nominated film The Interpreters, King of Beasts, Ursula Von Rydingsvard: Into Her Own and American TAP.

Rahul has gained professional experience in composition, orchestration, editing, score preparation, sound design, and arranging. He has collaborated with an array of filmmakers, creating music for feature films, short films, television, video games and advertisements. In addition to his own freelance projects, He has assisted composers for film and television at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions, including Henry Jackman (X-Men, Captain America, The Interview, Jack Reacher, Kingsman). Rahul has had his music recorded by orchestras in Europe and the United States, either recording remotely or conducting players on the scoring stage. His music has been performed at AIR Studios, Budapest, Lincoln Center and other orchestral venues. While in New York , Rahul assisted Emmy-nominated producer Simon Taufique on feature films, short films and branding campaigns.

 

He has spent extensive time in studio with Multi-Grammy Award winning Producer and Engineer Bill Hare (Pitch Perfect, Pentatonix, Calling All Dawns). Rahul studied under Hollywood Composer/Orchestrator Sean McMahon (Spider-Man 3, The Grudge 3, Fantastic 4, etc).

 

Rahul has conducted and worked with orchestra musicians on his scores. He is a multi-instrumentalist and has composed for different mediums. Rahul studied Composition, Film Scoring, Video Game Scoring and Conducting at the Berklee College of Music. He is happy to be working in the industry, continuing to learn and collaborate with many amazing professionals.
